During last week puppies have turned to tiny terriers instead of small babies. Today they were outside

for the first time. All of them were very brave and curious. Below Sebu with daddy Eemeli.

You can find pictures from the first week here, from the second week here, and from the third week here.

Now it seems that all puppies have new homes!

Puppies are now one week old and everything has gone well. They are still very equal in weight and

they all have doubled their weight. They all have got pigment points in their noses and they move a lot in

their box. Iida takes good care of them but still she likes to stay longer times outside with us

and especially with Eemeli. She's very happy that she can run and jump again with Eemeli.

Eemeli is very funny with the puppies, he either smells them and turns his head away like

feeling sick or he just runs away from them as if they were scary monsters =).

As you can imagine, Iida is VERY hungry at the moment, but because her stomach stands neither

eating all the time nor big propositions at once, we have to feed her many times a day. Below you can

see a pic of Iida waiting for her food, you can't miss what she means  =).

I have updated new pics of the puppies here. Iida has been so far a great mum to the

little ones. She's not at all too protecting and trusts surprisingly well to us and to Eemeli as well.

All the puppies were very same size when they were born and all of them eat well. They seem to

be quite happy at the moment, let's hope that this continues.

The first Whiteandwild-puppies were born early this morning, three males and two females.

The first one, big boy

The second one was quite big, all white female who didn't

want to stop for photographing.. She loves to stay in a milk bar however =)

The third one was little girl who was the first one

who didn't need any help in delivery. She has lovely face.

The fourth one was little "Ball-boy" whose all markings are round.

The last boy was born over an hour after the others, but he has the cutiest face ever.

Below some very "fresh" pics of the puppies:

Iida doesn't like much of our box for puppies. She went there only when I moved the box in

the middle of the room to fix it a bit. Eemeli on the other hand is our big pup =). He would

like to sleep in the box and eat puppyfood =).

Iida is getting bigger and bigger..Her body temperature dropped down this morning, so we hope

that something happens soon. Below pictures of our future mum.

We did a control visit to animal hospital with Eemeli. Fortunately everything was fine this time. As usual, he

charmed the doctor who took care of him. She told that Eemeli is "Exceptionally cute, even for the

representative of his breed" =). He behaved very well if you consider that the last

visit there was quite terrible.

We moved to downstairs because Iida's tummy is sooo big that it's hard for her to climb the stairs.

Outside she keeps on looking for a good "nest" for her babies.

On Monday Eemeli was visiting Niko's office. They had a day for dogs when

everyone was allowed to take his/her dog to work. This was a great thing

for us because it was good to keep an eye on Eemeli one more day after the reaction.

Eemeli did really well, he was with Niko even in meetings where he sat on his own chair and

listened what different people had to say =). A real office dog =).

Look at Iida below, it's week six and her tummy is getting bigger and bigger..

A total nightmare!

On Saturday we were getting prepared for another house warming party for our friends. Eemeli and Iida were running in and

out and everything was fine. Other a few minutes Eemeli came in and he looked terrible. He was shivering, he could hardly

walk and he was vomiting foam. We drove right away to the nearest vet who examined him, gave him fluid, cortisone and

painkillers. After a while when he didn't get any better we drove to Helsinki to the university animal hospital.

When we got there, he was dehydrated, his body temperature was low and he was only hardly conscious.

They examined him again, took blood samples, gave more fluid and put him to heat treatment. He was suffering from

anafylactic shock. After a few hours he finally slept peacefully and began to react again to different noises and movements.

No one could find any swelling from him and the blood samples seemed to be quite ok which indicates that it probably

wasn't a viper/an adder, but  I'm quite sure that he was stang by a hornet which is many times more poisonous than a bee for example. Hornets have been quite rare in Finland but because I found one inside of our house on

Saturday I guess their number is growing around Western Finland as well.

Well..Eemeli got better and later that evening we were allowed to take him home.Still, he was very weak

at home and we had to keep him under the blanket to keep him warm.

Fortunately, next morning was a lot better! He was a bit tired, but otherwise he was just himself. Eemeli is in great fit

and unbelievably healthy little dog, so I guess this recovery goes fast, at least I really hope so!

We were having a house warming party (better late than never..). We all were having fun

and Eemeli & Iida were so polite towards our guests that they even slept with them at night =).

Below you can see beautiful profiles of Eemeli and Iida made of iron by my uncle. He has planned to

make this kind of portraits for sale as well.

22.05.08

Iida was in ultrasound and we were told that there are at least four, possibly five puppies.

We are just wondering how Iida is going to walk after few weeks because her tummy is already

very big and Iida herself is very tiny.

We have been working really hard lately at work as well as at home. Eemeli thinks that

there has been definitely too little activation and hugging and because he's Eemeli (like Astrid Lindgren's Emil),

he has arranged some nice things to do like stealing my brush while I did something else.. He's really a king of pranks =).

On the other hand he's as cute as can be when he comes to lick your face and sleeps soooo close to you.

24.4.08

We have had many chances to party during April. The picture below is from my goddaughter's confirmation.

Well, the pages weren't working at all ;), hopefully they are now.

Many nice things have happened during this spring time. We have celebrated many birthdays with

our close friends as well as my goddaughter Anette's confirmation. We have worked hard with our garden

which earlier looked more like a jungle (some could say it still does..) and continued with the renovation inside the house.

Niko's sister gave birth to little "Bamse" which means that Niko is now an uncle. The little boy and his family are doing fine.

On "dog side" the most wanted thing has been the planned litter.

Now Iida has been mated with Eemeli and we hope to see the puppies around week 24.

Take a look at litters page here.

I've had some problems with these english pages after I moved both english and finnish pages to the

different server. Hopefully they are working well at the moment.
